Pituffik Space Base is a large Arctic operation with many different departments working together every day. Even though employees work in different areas, everyone contributes to keeping the base safe, operational, and running 24/7 in one of the world’s most demanding environments.

Below is a simple overview of the main departments you may encounter during your stay.

Base Operations & Management

Responsible for the overall coordination and daily operation of the base.

This department helps ensure that all activities run safely, efficiently, and according to contract and operational requirements.

Logistics & Transportation

Responsible for moving people, cargo, equipment, food, and supplies across the base and to/from Greenland and international destinations.

Food Services & Dining Hall
